GOSHIN WINS AT LOCAL TOURNAMENTS
Goshin
placed well on Saturday Feb 8th at Anthony Dew's Invitational
Karate Tournament held at the Bethune Douglas Center Williamsport
, Pa. Grand Master Brague's dojo was represented by these winners:
Master Ron Wright - 3rd in Senior Black Belt Forms; Gary Stebbins
- 1st in Forms, 1st in Heavyweight Kumite in Black Belt Division.
Gary also won the Grand Championship in Kumite. Kyu rank winners
were: Bryan Brown - 1st Forms, 1st Kumite in 11-15 year old Purple
Belt; Michael Sheets - 2nd Kumite in 6-10 Green Belt Division; In
the 6-10 Yellow Belt Division winners are: Mitchell Beringer - 1st
Forms; Gary Straiton - 3rd in Forms. 3rd in Kumite; Cody Miller
- 1st in Weapons, 1st in Forms, 1st in Kumite; Eric Worthington
- 4th in Forms; Joey Orso - 2nd in Forms, 2nd in Kumite.
Master Clair Black's Dojo from Dushore, Pa was represented
by Brittany Woodruff, in 11-15 year old Green Belt Division: 1st
in Weapon Forms and a 2nd in Forms.
Master Jerry Lepley's School from Jersey Shore was represented
by these winners: Jerry French - 3rd in Weapons and 4th in Forms
in the Senior Black Belt Division. Kyu Travis Young won 1st in Forms
and 3rd in Kumite in Young Mens Green Belt Division.
Master Jeff Bell's Dojo from Linden, Pa was represented
by Carolyn Sechrist - 1st in Weapon and First in Forms Women's Brown
Belt. Craig Hoyt - 1st in Kumite in Childrens Green Belt. Ethan
Hershey - 1st in Forms and 2nd in Kumite in Childrens Yellow Belt
Division.
Anthony's was a very interesting tournament. Attending
Masters received a free meal and the keys to the city presented
by the Mayor of Williamsport. Master Ron Wirght received a Sword
because of his help to Anthony with his first Tournament.
Grand Master Brague also received numerous
awards and spoke to the crowd.

On Saturday Feb 22, 2003 in Lewistown , Pa Ken Miller's
Tae Qwon Do Tournament was held. Master Jeff Bell's school traveled
out to participate. Winners were Denise Bell, Women's Brown Belt
- 1st in Weapons, 1st in Forms and 2nd in Kumite. Travis Allen -
childrens Yellow Belt - 2nd in Forms and 3rd in Kumite.
