Goshin Clinic held

despite Ivan's Fury

 

On September 18th in Williamsport, Pa at the Y W C A the Goshin Membership gathered for the Annual Clinic. Turn out was good despite Hurricane Ivan's rainfall closing some major highways. Those that made it had a great time and enjoyed the techniques and fellowship,

Tournament news:

On Sat. August 28th the Altoona Academy Classic's were held in Altoona, Pa. Master George Bierman placed first in Forms and Third in weapons and Third in Kumite in the Black Belt Division. Paula Schall captures a Second in Weapons in Black Belt Division. Jerry French won a foirst in Forms in the Executive Black Belt Division. William Lundy placed first in Forms and Kumite and Second in Weapons in the Green Belt Adult Division. Cody Miller Won 3 first places in Weapons, Kumite and Forms in the Children's Green Belt Division. Charlotte Simpson captured 2 first places in forms and Kumite in the Women's Orange Belt Division. No pictures were available.

On Sunday October 10th, 2004 the Nenow Dynasty Martial Arts Championships were held in Leighton, PA. George Bierman Captured three first places in Weapons, Kata and Kumite. He also won two Grand Championships in Kata and Kumite. All were in the Black Belt division. Bryant Brown took a first in Kata, a second in Weapons and a third in Kumite in the men’s brown belt division. Cody Miller won a first in Kata and second’s in both Weapons and Kumite all in the children’s brown belt division. Rachel Metzger of Wilkes-Barre won three first places in Weapons, Kata and Kumite in the 15-16 black belt division.

On Saturday October 2nd Young’s School of Tae Kwon Do had their annual Fall Tournament in Bellefonte, PA. Gary Stebbins placed first in Forms and First in kumite. He also won Grand Champion in Kumite. All in the black belt division. Master Ron Wright placed first in Forms and second Weapons in the senior black belt division. He also won Grand Champion in Forms. Master Jerry French placed first in Forms and Weapons and captured a second in Kumite in the Executive Black Belt division. Bryant Brown took a second in forms and a third in weapons in the men’s brown belt division. Jody Brague captured a first in the men’s brown belt division in kumite. Bill Lundy captured two first places in kumite and weapons and a third in forms in the men’s green belt division. Cody Miller placed first in both weapons and forms in the children’s brown belt division. Josh Vonada took a second in forms and a third in kumite in the children’s yellow belt division. David ludwikowski placed first in forms and weapons and fourth in kumite in the children’s purple belt division. Brian Patel took a second in kumite and a medal in forms in the children’s yellow belt division. Matthew Fox won a first in forms, a second in weapons and a third in kumite in the children’s purple belt division. Marina Fox placed first in forms and third in kumite in the children’s yellow belt division. Stacy Miller placed second in kumite and third in forms in the children’s yellow belt division. Grandmaster Joe Brague’s school also won the award for the most points and the most supportive school at the tournament.Students of Masters Clair & Karen Black also participated in Lenny Young's Fall Tournament. Brittany Woodruff took home a first in Forms and second in Sparring in Childrens Blue, Green, Purple Division . Dane Woodruff took home a Second in Forms and a First in Sparring same division. Kaycee Ebert competed also in the same division bringing home a Third in Weapons and a Third in Forms. Kelly Blasi competed in Green Belt Division for her age class and brought home a Third in Sparring and Medaled in Forms. Monica Black Competed in Childrens White and Yellow Belt Division and brought home 2 medals.
