      GOSHIN WINS AT LOCAL TOURNAMENTS

       Goshin  had a great showing at Lenny Young's Spring Tournament on April 5th, 2003. Goshin took home the team trophy for most competitors plus the points trohy for the most earned points from competition.

Grand Master Brague's school had these winners: Gary Stebbins first in Men's Sparring and Grand Champion. Jerry French first in Senior Men's Weapons. Rebecca Eck first in forms Womens Black Belt; Bryant Brown third in Sparring Junior Men's Advanced; David Ludwikowski Second in forms and Cody Miller Third in Forms Yellow Belt Childrens Division.

Blacks' Dojo from Dushore had 2 winners: Brittany Woodruff, green Belt 12 - 15 Division- Second in Forms, Third in Weapons and Second in Sparring.and Dane Woddruff , Green Belt 9-11 Division a Second in Sparring.

Master Jeff Bell's Dojo from Linden had these winners: Josh Bell, Ni-Dan First in Black Belt Forms, Ni-Dan Tony Bradley Second in Forms and Third in Sparring; Ni-Dan John Powell Second in Breaking. Abbey Porter, Brown Belt second in Weapons, First in Kumite ; Jesse Bell, Purple Belt, First in Sparring, First in Weapons, Third in Kata; Jacob Bell, Purple Belt, Second in Forms, Second in Sparring and Third in Weapons; Brandon Gardner, purple Belt First in Forms; Alexandria Mahaffey, Green Belt First in Kumite; Travis Allen, Yellow Belt First in Forms; Jacob Zwald, Yellow Belt Second in Sparring; Ethan Hershey, Yellow Belt a Third in Sparring and a Second in Forms; Chris Eisenhoer , Yellow Belt a First in Sparring; Jim Fry, White Belt a Second in Breaking and Tanja Maiolo, White Belt, First in Breaking, First in Forms and First in Sparring.

Master Jerry Lepley's student Travis Young , Green Belt, Won a First in Sparring.

Also, Master Jeff Bell would like to thank Grand Master Brague for all his help and teachings and for presenting the Points trophy to his Linden Dojo. It was a great honor. Thanks again Kyoto.

              On Sunday April 27th Blacks Dojo , Dushore, Pa competed at the Masters Cup Tournament at the University of Scranton. Winners were Ni-Dan Cassandra Adams in Womens Black Belt- Second in Sparring, Third in Forms; Brown Belt Mike Hokkanen won a Third in Senior Advanced Forms; Green Belt Brittany Woodruff took a First in Sparring and a Second in Forms in Intermediate Youth 9-12; Kira McGroarty won a Second in Forms in Girls Beginner 9-12; Franky hall won a Second in Sparring in Beginners Boys 13-17.

GOSHIN MASTERS' MEETING
 MARCH 29TH

The Masters gathered for fine eveing of food and conversation. School owners discussed their school events and progress of students. Cards were signed to our Black Belts who are serving in the military.

(Sorry this is late going in .) Master Ken Lewis had a get together at his dojo in Coudersport, PA in December of 2002. Pictured are Master Jeff Bell, Master Ken Lewis, Sara Lewis, Grand Master Brague, and Master Clair Black. Master Lewis would like to thank all of those who helped him in the previous year.
