   On July 7th the Battle of Harrisburg Martial Arts Tournament was held. Goshin was represented by Paula Schall who won three first places  : Weapons, Kata and Kumite in Womens Black Belt Division. Paula also captured the Grand Championship in Kumite. Ron Wright also of Williamsport took a second in Kata and a Third place in Kumite in the Senior Men's Black Belt Division. Jerry French placed First in Kumite, Second in Kata and Third in Weapons all in the Executive Balck Belt Division. All are students of Grand Master Brague.

      The Pennsylvania 2001 State Games were held on July 31st to August 5th. Goshin Members  participated in the Karate competition in Kata, Weapons, Kumite and Team Kumite. Members traveled to Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pa for a traditional competition. Master Clair Black took Gold in Kata in Master Mens Division Black Belt. Karen Black won a Bronze in  Weapons in Senior Womens Black Belt Division. Ron Wright 3 Medals : 2 Golds for Weapons and Kata and a Silver medal for Kumite . All in the Senior Mens Black Belt Division. Paula Schall won three Gold Medals in Kumite, Weapons and Kata in the Seniors Womens Black Belt Division. She also won a Silver in the Team Kumite. Jerry French captured a Gold Medal in Kumite and two Silver Medals. One in Weapons and one in Kata. 
    Kyu students who participated in the Summer Games were Rebecca Eck, Williamsport Dojo, 
won Gold in Kata and Kumite, and a Silver medal in Weapons in the Young Adult Advanced Womens Division . Brad Hart, also of Williamsport Dojo won a Bronze Medal in Kata in Young Adult Advanced Mens Division. Jean Snavely of Blacks' Dojo in Dushore captured two Gold Medals in the Masters Advanced Womens Division; one in Weapons and one in Kumite. Her daughter Amanda Snavely also brought home medals. Amanda won a Silver in Kumite and a Bronze in Kata in the Young Adult Advanced Womens Division. Jon Douglas, also from Blacks' Dojo won a Gold Medal in Weapons and a  Bronze in Kumite in the Young Adult Advanced Male division.
