Miller's Tournament

On Saturday February 24th, 2007 The Mifflin County Classic Karate Tournament was held in Reedsville, PA. Cody Miller (10) won a first place in Forms, a second in Kumite and a fourth in Weapons. He also won Grand Champion in the fourteen and under Black Belt Division. Jessica Kreger took three first places in forms, weapons and kumite in the nine year old brown belt division. All from Grandmaster Joe Brague's school in Williamsport.

Rachel Metzger of Wilkes Barre captured three first places in weapons, forms and kumite and Grand Champion in forms in the sixteen year old Black Belt division.

Ryan Mundrick took a third in both forms and kumite in the men's intermediate green belt division. Shawn Meskell took two second's in forms and kumite in the men's intermediate purple belt division. Dennis Slykhis took a second in kumite and a third in forms in the men's senior green belt division. All three students are from Master Jerry Lepley's school in Jersey Shore.

Lenny Young's Spring Tournament March 31st

Master Michele Brague had this to say: Goshin Jutsu Karate students were awesome! Goshin Jutsu DID RULE!
Out of 340 competitors(maybe a record for this tournament!), Goshin took the tournament trophy for Most Supportive School AND the Team Award for the most points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Goshin had an estimated 35-45 students competing yesterday. It was a long day in a small, congested, very warm gym but everyone was patient and kept a great attitude!
