An all around Clinic
was enjoyed this year on Sat. September 21st.
All participants got a chance
to brush up on their Sparring Techniques taught by Gary Stebbins
and Master George Bierman. Also available was instruction on the
ability to express oneself during Kata by Master Nick Bender and
Master Jerry Lepley and Charles Litowski. Master Jeff Bell taught
Kama, Master Ron Wright taught Ni-ton Bos and Master Ken Lewis taught
Bo techniques.
A must-do part of the clinic was Power Chi Techniques personally
instructed by Grand Master Brague. This was a great opportunity
to hear about the inner chi that everyone possesses, but takes years
to understand and control. Grand Master Brague explained how the
inner energy can be understood in phases. Each with their own enhancements
of internal power. The Control of the hip within techniques is just
the beginning.
Kime is a higher level where the source of energy unites the mind,
body and spirit. Relaxation in one's body and self is now very important.
And , learning to focus on one spot.
The last phase becomes apparent and demonstrable by the unbendable
wrist as shown at the clinic. One must be able to split the inner
chi and be able to pinpoint power into one spot. Everyone enjoyed
this amazing opportunity to work with Grand Master Brague.
